Warmth as the foundation of the design

The emphasis in this family home was on creating an interior that feels contemporary yet warm and inviting. Natural, warm tones, wood, stone, and soft textures form a calm foundation, while selected elements give the neutral palette character and movement.

Green holds a special place in the interior. It introduces freshness and a more natural feeling while contrasting with the warm, deeper tones used throughout the rest of the home. Rather than serving only as a decorative accent, green creates balance: it softens the space, brings it to life, and connects the interior with the surrounding nature.

The kitchen as a link between spaces

The kitchen, dining room, and living room were designed as interconnected zones, with particular care taken to ensure that functional needs did not compromise the openness of the space. Tall, substantial units in dark wood give the kitchen depth and character. As a counterpoint to their clean, strict lines, a rounded arch introduces a softer form and creates a more natural transition towards the dining area, visually connecting two functionally distinct zones.

Details such as these, where function and aesthetics complement one another, make every layer of the space feel considered and add value to the interior as a whole.

Materials and light as part of the atmosphere

Materials and tones recur subtly throughout the interior, creating a sense of balance and connection between the different zones. Although each has its own function and character, the repetition of selected elements allows the home to be experienced as a harmonious whole rather than a series of separate compositions.

Natural light enhances the warmth of the materials during the day, while carefully positioned lighting changes the atmosphere in the evening and gives the space a more intimate character. Through the relationship between light, texture, and material, the interior gains a depth that shifts with the moment and the way the home is used.
